2021 Accomplishments

Rural landowners and farmers are protecting grassland bird nesting habitat by delaying the hay harvest date on their lands.

In 2021 there were 48 program participants, 16 farmers, 19 properties, 306 acres certified as bird-friendly and 2 to 7 baby grassland birds saved with every nest protected.
